  • Yes – 4WD access is essential. The track and beach crossing are unique, and sticking to the suggested arrival times helps everything run smoothly.

  • With prior planning we can assist with transfers (a transfer service is available by arrangement). For more certainty, heli transfers are also offered as part of a package.

  • Your stay includes breakfast and a stocked fridge/pantry drawer with basic items to make other meals easy (oils, seasonings, herbs, lemons, etc.). Gluten-free, keto and vegetarian breakfast options are catered for.

  • Highlights include a bespoke wood-fuelled sauna, outdoor stone bath, efficient wood fire, Sonos audio, dishwasher, small gas oven/cooktop, boogie boards, and Starlink Wi-Fi (with an encouragement to switch off).

  • Yes – Raupo can host intimate weddings and elopements. The venue works with celebrants, photographers, caterers and can accommodate small, heartfelt gatherings.

  • Raupo Bay offers a sandy beach break that picks up swell from the north-east and south-east, with waves breaking both left and right along the beach. Conditions vary with swell, wind and tide, but when the swell and winds align the bay can produce fun, rideable peaks that work for longboards, SUPs and all-levels paddlers. It’s quieter than many nearby breaks, and its natural setting gives you space to enjoy the water with almost no crowds.

  • Yes. Raupo is a year-round retreat. The bach is well insulated with natural wool, heated by a wood fire, and paired with a sauna and outdoor bath – making winter stays especially restful.

  • Raupo remains deeply connected to its place. The bach stays true to its original footprint, uses materials sourced from the farm, and sits within a landscape shaped over generations. It’s a place designed not to impress, but to feel right.

  • Starlink Wi-Fi is available if you need it, though many guests choose to disconnect. Mobile reception can be limited, depending on your provider.
