Let the coast guide you back to balance, and pair it with a rejuvenating sauna experience. Our sauna sits just meters from the beach, offering a restorative wellness escape shaped by the sea.
Wood-fired heat invites deep relaxation and personal reflection. Complete this Nordic ritual with a cold plunge or a refreshing sea dip for an energising contrast. All the while, enjoy calming coastal views that quiet the mind and bring you back to centre.

Farm tour
A personal 1.5hr farm tour can be arranged at an additional cost of $150pp. Andrew will give you a brief overview of the style of farming we
have adopted. You will see the dogs working,help shift the sheep into the next block, understand the balance of farming cattle in conjunction with sheep, and learn about the seasonal routines of Farming in NZ. Includes refreshments.
We welcome curious minds and enjoy being questioned about all things farming. We look forward to sharing our ‘everyday’ lives with you.
Farm Walking at your leisure
You are free to roam the surrounding hills & coastline at your leisure. Please venture with-in your fitness capabilities and take water, & sun protection.
Some of our fences have an electric current on the top wire. For this reason we recommend finding the gates. It is important to please leave gate as it was found (open or closed). You will hopefully see some of our Romney sheep and black Angus cows, enjoying the same views as you, however as the summer drys off the grass, we take them to higher ground, spread them out, with lower numbers in each paddock. We recommend a farm tour for full farm immersion.
Discover Banks Peninsula on electric all-wheel drive, trail bikes
Experience Akaroa’s breathtaking east coast at your own pace on eco-friendly electric motor scooters with a bespoke - especially for you - trail map. Then it’s over to you – your day, your pace, your adventure.
This trip starts with a beach pickup and a 10 minute farm transfer to your waiting scooters, a relaxed induction on bikes & route options (there are a few to choose from.), then you are on your way. We recommend a mid morning meet & greet with Andrew. Opt for a delivered picnic lunch to enjoy at one of the gorgeous beaches en route, or scooter your way to a winery, restaurant or pub for a later lunch. If you feel like a drink with lunch, no problem, Andrew will pick you up and transfer you back to Raupo at a pre arranged time.
This is a fabulous trip which means early bookings are essential.

Surfing
Raupo Bay gets some lovely, easy-going surf. The waves are usually slow and gentle — ideal for a longboard or SUP, and great for those who aren’t chasing anything too heavy. At times, Hector’s dolphins join in, making it a pretty special place to paddle out. Surfboards and wetsuits aren’t provided, but boogie boards are available.
